50 sessions over three days, 300 speakers, 6,000 participants from 100 countries – since 2009, the World Health Summit has become one of the most important international conferences for global health. In addition to leading scientists, guests and speakers regularly include heads of government and government representatives as well as CEOs and experts from industry and civil society.
In 2020, the Summit was marked by the COVID 19 crisis in both content and organisation: the programme focused on the development and discussion of various strategies to combat the pandemic. The conference format was constantly adapted to the changing situation and was held digitally for the first time.
In 2021, the event is planned as a hybrid format.
